I started Cechetti ballet at the age of three when I lived in Johannesburg. My teacher at the time was Louise Lombard. I danced in many shows, participating in the “Cat’s Whiskers” dance festival and our year-end performances. I had completed my Grade 4 ballet examination before relocating to KZN due to my Dad’s work commitments.

My first priority on moving to KZN was to find a new ballet school. My old ballet teacher referred me to Lucinda Stanley’s Ballet School. This was where my ballet journey in KZN began. I very eagerly prepared for my Grade 5 ballet exam and qualified to participate in the Gala Performance. I was informed of the KZN Dance Academy and Lucinda suggested I audition.

I am presently preparing for my Intermediate Ballet examination and am proudly part of the KZN Dance Academy. At the Academy, I have had the privilege of learning new and interesting forms of dance while having fun doing it. I am thrilled to be a part of such a vibrant and talented group of dancers.

My plans for the future are to go to the Cecchetti Summer School and eventually attain my teachers qualification in ballet. I enjoy every aspect of ballet. I would like to thank everyone who has enabled and equipped me along my journey.
